Day 1 - Arrive in Kiev, apartment transfer and evening meal

- Dinner in a traditional Ukrainian Cossack restaurant.
Traditional Ukrainian Folk with a touch of Cossack will welcome you with Live folk music, the musicians dressed in traditional garb.This place is a nice way to enjoy a bit of Ukraine’s past,
the hearty, meaty Borsch and roasted pork shashlik and traditional Kiev’s hospitality. A vegetarian choice is also available on request.

Day 2 - Exploring old Kiev's landmarks
- 10:00-13:00
Our exploration starts on Myhaylivs’ka Plosha(square) where we have an external view of St.Michail’s Golden Dome Cathedral, which is of special significance for Kiev residents, because it was devoted to Archangel Michail, the heavenly patron of Kiev. Then passing the impressive building of The Ukrainian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, we take cable car ride which swings you downthe Volodymirsky Hill to Poshtova square from which we have a walk along the Dnipro river Wharf to the river port and launch on a cruise down the Dnipro River (approx. 2 hours).

Lunch at some cosy cafe or a stylish Irish pab on Kontraktova Ploschcha(square).
- 14.00-16.00
Our tour continues along Andriivskyi Uzviz (Descent) Having walked a little uphill ancient stone paving we would find ourselves at Anddriyivsky Uzviz. This street houses numerous art galleries and shops, with work from local artists, and makes this romantic street the cultural center of Kiev.Artists, as well as masters of other genres are able to display and sell their products from stands and stalls in the open air. Visits to this street will acquaint you with art trends of Ukraine. During the walk You will listen to the tales how ordinary people lived and worked in Kiev a few centuries ago.

During this excursion you will see all the Kiev most beautiful churches at once:
-->St. Andrew's Church a masterpiece of baroque architecture of XVIII c. constructed according to the designs of well-known architect B.Rastrelli on the top of Vladimir's Hill. The 60 meters high Church is surrounded by a terrace, from which you can see a picturesque panorama of Kiev and Dnipro River. It is a good place to make marvelous photos.
-->Next we explore St Sofia Cathedral on Sofiys’ka Ploschcha,
--> and after a coffee break --> we’ll finally head to the Golden Gate – ancient entrance to Kiev of the times of Yaroslav the Wise. You will be able to buy souvenirs and cards with Kiev sights.

Day 3 - Kiev's past and present
- 10:00-13:00
Is marked by tour to the Pirogovo(pancake) village situated in the picturesque suburb of Kiev Pirogovo. We will explore one of the largest open air museums in the world that covers about 159 hectares and contains more than 300 unique buildings of folk architecture XVI - XX cc The buildings include peasants’ houses, churches, mills, farm structures along with household utensils, working instruments, clothes, works of folk art. The collection of the reserve amounts to 80,000 objects. The real atmosphere of Ukrainian village with the customs and traditions of different regions of the country will give you a short escape from urban tension. Traditional fair, folk plays and dances take place throughout the year. And such a marvelous scenery all around!! Then we have lunch at"Shynok" cafe.

The interior of rural Shynok of 19 century. Dishes prepared
under classical recipes of the Ukrainian national cuisine. Christian holidays and ceremonies are observed. Real possibility to test the best Ukrainian dishes and drinks not so expensive that at the centre of city. If you want to buy souvenirs (handicraft) you will find them in this museum and even cheaper then in St Andrew passage.

I pick you up and we set out to Kiev city centre to stroll down one the most beautiful, wide and eventful Ukrainian street Kreshchatik, on a par with Maidan(Independent Square) where our famous Orange Revolution and recently a grandiose concert of Elton John took place. Their flair and panorama will capture your heart and inspire you to visit Kiev again.

We visit the Globus the "deepest" shopping and recreation centre.It is one of the most interesting architectural projects of the present and was constructed in 2002. This place is just enormous, but it doesn't disrupt the historical ensemble of Kiev's ancient center, as the main part of the Globus is hidden under the ground. The inside of the centre is impressive: with several floors of shopping space, glass doors, escalators, cafes, bars and restaurants, it is one of the chic est and trendiest destinations in the whole capital. After wandering through Globe we will be brought by escalator down to the area of fast-food (American, Ukrainian, Chinese, Italian etc). On your way down you can enjoy the view of nice fountain and then throw a coin there as a sign that you will be back.

In the evening you’ll have opportunity to visit drama theatre with most captivating performances on world renown plays( Boccaccio’s Decameron, Shakespeare’s, Romeo and Juliet , Hugo’s Saint Petri Dom ..) The theatre will surprise you with its most original and attractive building -
a fairytale castle, situated in the heart of the Ukrainian capital.

Day 4 - Leaving Kiev

- Transfer by taxi to Borispol airport
